PSU Continues Winning Streak! 11 in a Row!
The 11-1 Plymouth State Women's Lacrosse team continues to shock the Little East Conference as they continue on their 11 game winning streak. The Panthers traveled to Danbury, Connecticut on 4/21 to face LEC rivals Western Connecticut State University. This game proved to be a fight to the finish as the teams went back and forth all afternoon. With 5 seconds remaining in regular time, sophomore MeKenna Bay scored the game winning goal to end to tug of war.
The Panthers are now #1 in the LEC standings followed by Keene State, Eastern Connecticut and Western Connecticut. The girls are no longer celebrating their victory, but preparing for their next competition. PSU has 2 games left in the regular season, facing the University of Southern Maine away on 4/25 and home against Rhode Island College on 4/28.

Play Support Unite: PSU Women's Lacrosse Raises Funds for the Wounded Warrior Project
Saturday April 7th, 2012
At 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 7th 2012, Little East Conference Rivals Plymouth State University and UMASS Dartmouth will face off at Southern NH University to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
PSU Women's Lacrosse feels very strongly about supporting their troops as many of their family members and friends belong to the military, including their assitant coach Morgan Lemmon.
SPRING BREAK
The PSU Women's Lacrosse team had a successful spring break trip to Dallas, TX. While in Texas, the team was able to break in their new white uniforms, playing two non-conference games against the University of Dallas and Pacific University. The Panther's defeated Dallas on Crusader Field 17-9 and continued their reign of victory with a win over Pacific University 22-9.
The ladies of the PSU Women's Lacrosse team also go their cowgirl on at the Stockyard Station in Fort Worth Texas. I'm pretty sure the team bought the town out of cowgirl hats and boots! The lady panthers learned about cattle drives and the old west, and even had the opportunity to ride a bull (mechanical).
We would like to say thank you for all of the supporters who donated to the Women's Lacrosse team and made their spring break one to remember!

PSU Panthers Open Preseason with Game Against St. A's Hawks
Grappone Stadium: Home of the St. Anselm Hawks
On Saturday, February 18th at 4:30 the PSU Panthers opened their preseason with a match against the Saint Anselm Hawks. This was the first opportunity for PSU to play on a full, turf field as a team. The Panther's starting line up of 12 was made up of 5 freshman. The first draw of the night was full of suspense as freshman Molly Gleason made her debut as a PSU Panther.
The night proved to highlight both strengths and weakness of the young PSU team. Coach Kristin Blanchette explained, "I thought tonight was very eye opening and also a great opportunity for our team." Although the Panthers came out with a loss, they are now prepared to analyze tape, practice their weaknesses and become better prepared to face the season head on.
The Panthers will have another preseason opportunity in which they hope to use as the measure of their progression. PSU will head to the University of New England on Saturday, February 25th. We look forward to our progression and successes as we take the first steps on our journey to the Championships!
Thanks again to our amazing PSU parents who supported and fed our team with an amazing tail-gate buffet. You are more appreciated than you'll ever know!
